NEET is a uniform entrance examination conducted to assess the competency of the candidates for admission in medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BSMS, and other allied courses. The admit card is an important and mandatory document for NEET. So, it is better to know in advance the steps to download NEET admit card online.

Tentative dates for NEET 2022

Important dates for NEET 2022 like application form release, last date to submit the application, date of release of admit card, last date to download the admit card, exam date, and others have not been announced yet. However, based on previous years, the tentative date for the NEET admit card release would be around May or June. The exams were delayed in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, and the admit cards for NEET were released only in late August in 2020 and early September in 2021.

How to download NEET Admit Card online

The admit card is available only online and not through any offline sources. Given below are the steps to download it.

  • Visit the official website of NTA
  • After the release of the admit card, you will be able to see the tag ‘NEET 2022 Admit Card’.
  • Once you click on it, you will be asked to enter your application number, security pin, and date of birth (There is a dropdown menu to select your date of birth). The security pin is a 6-digit alphanumeric code that is sent before you click the submit button.
  • After filling in the details, click on the ‘submit’ button.
  • NEET admit card will be displayed on the screen. Cross-check the details on the card and make sure all the details are correct. In case of any discrepancy, you should report to the concerned authorities immediately.
  • Now you can download the admit card and take coloured printouts.
  • Affix your photograph in the space provided.
  • Get the signature of your parent or guardian in the space provided.

How to download NEET Admit Card 2022 if you don’t remember the application number

The application number is very important, and you should save the number in a notebook or one of your gadgets. Nevertheless, if you forget the number, don’t panic. There is a 5-step process that will help to retrieve your number.

  • Visit the official website of NTA
  • Look for ‘forgot registration number’ and click on it.
  • You have to fill in a few details like name, parent’s name, date of birth, category, and security pin.
  • Once you fill in and submit the details asked for, your registration number will be displayed on the screen.
  • Copy the number and fill the number in the admit card and download it.

  • Name of the candidate
  • Application number
  • Roll number
  • Parent/guardian’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Contact address
  • Category
  • Language of examination(It is conducted in 13 languages)
  • Exam centre number and address

  • Instructions and guidelines like reporting time, dress code, things that are allowed and not allowed in the centre, and others

NEET Admit Card 2022—Some important points to remember

  • The spelling of your name on the admit card and the photo ID that you carry should be the same. If not, you will not be allowed inside the examination hall. So, if the spellings don’t match, you should contact NTA immediately.
  • You can download the NEET 2022 admit card any number of times. So, you can re-download it if you lose the card. However, it is better to save a soft copy to avoid unexpected issues.
  • The dimension of the photograph to be affixed on the admit card is 4 inches by 5 inches.
  • Candidates have to sign on the admit card before the invigilator. A NEET admit card for 2022 that has been signed earlier will not be accepted. If you have signed it unknowingly, make sure you re-download the admit card and fill it out again.
  • If you are not able to download the NEET 2022 admit card, you should check the login credentials and the security pin. If they are right, you should contact the NTA helpline.
