SSC CPO Exam stands for the Staff Selection Commission, Central Police Organisation. The examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Force, and Central Industrial Security Force.

SSC CPO Selection Process
The selection process of this examination includes three steps:
- TIER I – Candidates need to clear an objective paper having Multiple Choice Questions.
- PET/PST: In this step, candidates need to clear a physical test having multiple tasks.
- TIER II – This test is descriptive.
TIER I Exam Pattern: 200 marks
- Reasoning (50 marks)

1600 m race in 6 minutes 30 seconds
100 m race in 16 seconds

Cracking the exam is easy if you follow the right approach and strategy. First, you must know how much knowledge you have regarding the subjects. Brilliant work and focus will help you achieve your goal. The topics under SSC CPO syllabus can be covered in 6 months:
- Entire reasoning could be covered, good enough to score 45 marks and above.
- Quantitative aptitude could be finished easily, to the level where you can attempt all easy and moderate questions and score 40 plus in the examination.
- English can also be covered comprehensively. Reading and vocabulary can be covered from previous year’s papers. All you need is a standard grammar book. Grammar books also have some vocabulary in them.
- Study General Awareness daily for 1 -2 hours, and hope for the best. However, no amount of time is enough for this section.

6 Months Strategy to Crack the SSC CPO Examination
- Start with the Quantitative Aptitude section and study the topics like analogy, number series, and simplification.
- Buy any standard book and practise all the questions asked in various competitive examinations. Focus on understanding the concept first.
- Solve all the difficult questions at least 2 – 3 times.
- In the Reasoning Section, practice all the questions asked in the previous years. Start with the topics like coding-decoding, seating arrangement, and directions.
- Practice is the key to scoring good marks in the Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude Sections.
- The English Language Section should focus on Error Spotting, Sentence Correction, and Sentence Re-Arrangement. Make sure you understand all the essential rules of grammar, which will help you a lot in this section.
- The last section is General Awareness. In this section, first try to cover all the static portions by reading NCERT from class 6th to 10th. After completing the static part, the most challenging is the Current Affairs section. For this, you must read the newspaper daily and make short notes to help you revise the last few days.
Daily Routine to be followed for the above sections:
- Quantitative Aptitude – Min 2 hours
- Reasoning- 1 – 1:30 hours
- English – 1 – 1:30 hours
- General Awareness: 1:30 to 2 hours
- Newspaper: 1 hour daily
